When you have kiddos, you are looking for a great place to raise your family, the perfect home and wonderful schools. We are so blessed to live in the Tri-State area where there are so many fantastic schools to choose from. Right now is the time to start enrolling Kindergartners or check out a new district if you are looking to move.
Fort Thomas Independent Schools
For those of you in Kentucky, you really should check out The Fort Thomas Independent Schools district. It was just named the best school district in the Commonwealth for 2018, #1 Best School District by Niche, #1 Public High School by US News & World Report, 4 Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence and soon to be State of the Art facilities across the entire district. Fort Thomas Independent School District is exceptional; having been named a “District of Distinction” three times in a row, as well as achieving the honor of being the top-ranked district in Kentucky as assessed by the state government.
Fort Thomas Independent Schools is a Public School in a Private School setting which makes it unique. It is an independent district, meaning that if you live within the District (generally Fort Thomas, Kentucky) you go to school there. The district is usually tight on space to accommodate a low student to teacher ratio, but with more space in the buildings, there is an opportunity for placing additional students in one of the best districts in the tri-state! There are 3 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school. All buildings have been rebuilt within the last 15 years and Johnson Elementary School will be rebuilt, with a ground breaking starting this Spring.
Online Registration Now Open + Open House
Fort Thomas Schools has just opened the Online Registration link for the 2019-2020 school year. If you would like to see these beautiful schools in person, you can visit their Open House this Sunday, February 24, from 2 – 4 p.m.! All schools will be open. You can tour the facilities and see what makes their district the best in the state. All prospective tuition students in grades K-12 are invited. Parents of incoming kindergarten students are encouraged to visit the site prior to their Kindergarten Registration day on Thursday, February 21.
