Everyone’s favorite ogre is back in the hilarious stage spectacle based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” for everyone’s favorite ogre in “Shrek The Musical JR.,” based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. In a faraway kingdom, the green ogre Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits, runaways who’ve been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wise-cracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task – if he rescues feisty Princess Fiona from the Dragon-guarded tower, his swamp will be returned to him. But, a fairy tale wouldn’t be complete without unexpected twists and turns along the way.
Who doesn’t love Shrek and what better way to see it then on stage at the Taft Theatre, put on by the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati!

They also have many homeschooling performances and what I really love is that they provide study sheets for each performance they do! Even if you don’t homeschool your kids, you can print these off and get them excited about the show with these activities! They separate them out based off of age and grade level so you can find the ones specific to your child.
I know my boys are really looking forward to the show! Enjoy!
I was given tickets to this performance so I can share it with my readers. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks for reading!
