Rodan + Fields Skincare Review with FREE Mini Facial Samples

I kept hearing the buzz about Rodan + Fields skincare and how much it is changing people’s skin. I have tried SO many different natural skincare products and as I am approaching… dare I say it… 35 (!) mama is realizing she is needing something to combat these wrinkles and aging skin. I am not saying the natural products I have tried over the years don’t work, I just haven’t seen any dramatic improvements. I am all about the 80/20 rule. I know I am not going to be able to keep chemicals out of my home or my body 100% of the time, so I do my best and if there are things that I use, or eat for that matter, that aren’t the most natural, it’s O.K.! I feel this way about my skin… I am not in denial about my aging skin, but I do want to try to allow it to age gracefully so I know I need an SPF daily moisturizer, for example. Keeping all this in mind, I knew it was time for me to start looking into some real deal skincare options. 

I have talked to a lot of other moms and many of them have adopted upscale skincare regimens from their dermatologists and then I started hearing more and more about Rodan + Fields. Their goal is to bring an upscale product out of the “office” and into the homes of women through direct marketing. This allows them to make it more affordable which is always a plus in my book! I love direct sales because it gives moms the chance to be their own boss and connect with other women on a positive level so I was very curious about this Company in particular. I was not only interested in finding a great skincare line for my aging skin, but also for my old acne scarring. I was considering some peels recommended to me by a friend, but then I heard about R+F AMP MD Roller that is doing for scarring what peels are doing without the downtime! It sounded to good to be true, but as I learned more about it, I realized the hype was right. People weren’t having to go through painful peels with red, sore faces for days, even weeks, to get their skin texture smoother and more even. They were doing it through a daily skincare R+F regimen called REDEFINE, that also included their AMP MD Roller. 

How does it work? At the age of 30, our skin drastically diminishes in the amount of collagen it makes, which makes more wrinkles and less elasticity. The AMP MD Roller has surgical-grade acupuncture needles that creates small micro channels in the skin. This allows for two things to happen. First, it is sending a signal to your brain that your skin is being injured so it stimulates collagen production, thus filling in wrinkles and scarring. Second, it allows for the skincare ingredients that you are using to go in deeper into the skin, causing it to work better and faster.  You are supposed to roll this device over your face at least three nights per week using “moderate and comfortable pressure”  in different directions around the face, making 4–10 passes. Now, these are tiny needles and I was a little nervous about it hurting, but honestly, it isn’t painful in the least bit. I’m not sure if I have tough skin or what, but it just didn’t hurt so I was thankful for that :) 

You can purchase the derma rolling product with the night renewing serum and just use those two by themselves or pair it with their REDEFINE line. I have heard and read that women are seeing results both ways, but you are supposed to achieve a better result using the Redefine line in conjunction with the AMP MD Roller. 

In an independent clinical study, participants using the REDEFINE Regimen reported seeing the following results after eight weeks of twice daily use:

These statistics seemed pretty compelling to me. I have been using the entire Redefine line, along with the AMP MD Roller for almost two weeks. This line consists of a Cleansing Mask, Toner, and SPF Morning Moisturizer. In the evening you use the Cleansing Mask, Toner, AMP MD Roller, Night Renewing Serum and then the PM Night Moisturizer. It felt like a lot of steps to me, but I am use to it now and it has become my little pampering ritual before I go to bed. I love the smell and my skin has definitely felt more soft and more moisturized when I wake up in the morning. I have had really dry skin since getting pregnant with Bennett and this has really seemed to help combat that. I haven’t noticed anything yet on the wrinkle or scarring home front.
