The first Brio Tuscan Grille opened in Ohio in more than eight years at the New Liberty Center. If you have not been to the Liberty Center yet, you are missing out! It is AMAZING with so many shops, restaurants, a Dine In Movie Theater, Comedy Club and much more!
I was stoked when I was invited to a blogger preview of the new Brio Tuscan Grille. I had heard great things about their food and could not wait to try it out!
The first thing I noticed right when I walked in was the seven-seat pizza counter where customers can pick a stool on a first-come, first-serve basis and get a close-up view of the kitchen and pizza oven. You can order from the full menu at the bar so if the restaurant is full and you have just had a full day of shopping, you can grab a spot there and pick your favorite meal from the menu. What is even cooler about this is they get the kids involved in helping make their own pizza dough and they can watch what is going on in the kitchen since you can see it from the pizza counter! I can’t wait to take the boys for mommy son date night just so we can sit here! I can enjoy a glass of wine while they are being entertained!
The Liberty Center Brio location has two patios for outdoor dining, one of them has lounge seating and gas fire pits. There are two large bars in the restaurant and one of them has a garage door-style opening that lifts for warm-weather days but closes when it’s cold. It was closed when we were there, but I can only imagine the ambiance it brings on those nice spring, summer and fall days.
Brio is an Italian Restaurant and has so many delicious treats on their menu. I had the privilege of trying all of their appetizer, desserts and picking an entree. I also had a fabulous Peach Bellini that was to die for!! What I was most impressed by is that everything is made from scratch and you can truly taste the difference.
Here are some of their amazing appetizers. We tried the Crispy Tuscan Tots, Beef Carpaccio, Margherita Flatbread, Housemade Chips and Balsamic Onion Dip, Sausage and Pepperoni Flatbread, Tomato and Mozzarella Salad, Brio Burger, Black Pepper Shrimp and the Roasted Garlic, Spinach Artichoke Dip. This first one was my favorite- Crispy Tuscan Tots! OMG! Melt in my mouth delicious. I mean does it get much better than cheese, fried, bacon and potatoes?! My second favorite was the Black Pepper Shrimp which has this amazingly flavorful Spicy Black Pepper Cream Sauce. I love the variety their appetizer list has to offer. They have something for every taste palette.
For my main entree I tried the Surf and Turf with scalloped potatoes and a wedge salad. Everything was cooked to perfection.
Last, but certainly not least was the YUMMY desserts! My two favorites were the Torta di Cioccolata (with the warm chocolate center and vanilla bean gelato) and the Brio Cheesecake. Coming in at a close second was the Chocolate Layer Cake. Everything was made from scratch and delicious. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Tiramisu which I never knew is made with a coffee liquer and I don’t like coffee which is why I didn’t care for the taste.
Overall, everything was amazing and I am looking forward to going back with my hubby :) Also, If you are looking to save some money, be sure to check out their happy hour. You can get discounted prices on appetizer and drinks from 3:30-6:30 Monday- Friday AND appetizers only from 9 pm to close. Now that is a great dealio!
One thing I will say is that parking can be overwhelming if you are new to Liberty Center, but don’t let that deter you from coming out and dining at Brio Tuscan Grille. You can pull up to the side of the restaurant and use the valet service which will also come in handy on these cold winter nights when you don’t want to have to walk far to get a delicious home cooked meal!
