I am sure we can all agree that mealtimes at home can be CRAZY! I actually like to cook, but it gets monotonous having to plan new meals all the time and getting all the ingredients from the grocery store. Plus, by 4:00 I am EXHAUSTED so sometimes dinner is just find what you can in the fridge! I know a lot of families struggle with having to get kids to extracurricular activities around dinner time and end up eating out or going through the drive thru which can really put a dent in your budget!
I am almost due with my third little guy and have NO energy. This has been my roughest pregnancy to say the least and I am very limited on what I can even eat (yes he even dictates me from the womb)!! I end up making dinner for the boys and then I eat cereal… I know, sad right?!
I was excited to be invited by Dream Dinners to come and check out the meals they have to offer so I could stock my freezer before the baby comes. They make it super easy with having everything you need set up in the store, including labels and a freezer inventory sheet to take home. And the biggest plus, no clean up required! They do it all for you!! Woohoo!
I had tried Dream Dinners years ago and stopped when I got picky about my meat. I like to buy local if I can and I definitely steer clear of hormones and antibiotics so I stopped using them. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the changes they have made since I last visited.
- You cannot get organic meat there, however, the chicken is hormone and anti-biotic free which is awesome so if you are particular about your meat you could order the veggie and chicken dishes and stay away from the beef dishes.
- They also offer Weight Watchers points for each menu and some gluten-free options. You can read all about their Health and Nutrition FAQ’s here.
- They do offer a few vegetarian options, but they are more meat based meals. You could always omit the protein from the meal and add your vegetarian substitute when you get home.
- Once you set up an online account you can rate each meal with up to 5 stars. You can add notes so if you want to add more of an ingredient or less spice you will know for your next visit. You can also check if you would make it again or not.
- They also have a freezer in store packed full of pre-made meals, sides and breakfasts for you to take home after your session if you see anything you like. They run discounts and specials on some of the items that are in the freezer section as well.
- They offer a program called Plate Points where you earn points just for being a customer. You can accumulate points which turns into money for you to use on their Made for You which is where you place your order and they assemble it for you so all you have to do is pick it up! You can also use the money towards the food that is already put together in the freezer at the store.
- Once you are hooked and have the hang of how Dream Dinners work, you can host a Dream Taste event. Invite 3 friends to make 3 meals each and you get your 3 meals for FREE! You also get the store all to yourselves so it would make a great GNO!
- They do have a minimum requirement of 36 servings when you order so that is either 6- 6 Serving meals or 12- 3 Serving meals. If you are new to Dream Dinners and just want to try out the food, they do offer an Introductory Offer where you can get 18 servings for $74.95.
Overall, I was pleased with the changes they have made in their chicken and each store is willing to work with you on any other food allergies or substitutions that you need to make based off your diet.
I still like making freezer meals at home and using my local meat and organic product. In fact, this week I am stocking up my freezer with about 20 Wildtree Freezer Meals and some other additional meals I have found on Pinterest, but it was time-consuming searching for recipes we would all like and buying all the ingredients. I like that there is another option out there for occasions when you may not have the time to search for freezer meals, get ingredients and have to make the time to assemble it. You can place an online order at Dream Dinners for 12 meals and get out of your session in less than two hours and have some pretty tasty meals on hand for those nights you have no idea what’s for dinner! I would recommend doing your own research and see if Dream Dinners would be a good fit for you and your family.

I did receive meals from Dream Dinners to try out with my family so I could share my experience with you, however, all opinions and ideas are my own! You can read more about my Disclosure & Disclaimer Policy here. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Thanks for reading!
