I was SOOO SOOO SOOOO exited to receive this amazing glamour kit from Vocalpoint!! Be sure to read all the way to the bottom for an AWESOME discount code so you get GLAMMED up on the cheap too!
As you can see above, I received the Tulip Auto Curler, MAX 2-Way Rotating Iron and the Ionic Styler Pro, all by InStyler. Christmas came early for me this year ladies! I was asked to try out these products and share my experiences with all you MAMAS!
I took a poll on social media and asked which should I try first. Everyone said the Tulip Auto Curler so that is just what I did! Before I even took these out of the box, I hopped on You Tube to see how other women were using these so I didn’t jank my hair up using them for the first time. The Auto Curler seemed easy enough so off I went to try it out.
Here is my BEFORE, after I blow dried my hair. I know, cute right?! NOT!
When I blow dry my hair or let it air dry it turns into a frizz ball which is why most of the times you see me I have my hair back in a bun or pony tail! I actually have to fix the mop to make it look presentable! Below you can see my AFTER!
First, let me apologize for the cleavage! What can I say, I am 6 weeks away from having this baby and the girls are out!! LOL! Let me tell you how amazed I was at the curls I got from using the Tulip Auto Curler after just using it once. Watching a few videos helped me know what to do and it only took me about 10 minutes to curl my entire head! You can see what a HUGE difference it made on my hair and it looked even more gorgeous in person! It was super easy to use since I watched a few videos first. All you have to do is put a small section of hair in the Tulip and click a button and it literally winds up your hair and beeps when it’s ready to be taken out! There were so many things I loved about the Tulip Auto Curler:
- It has a measure guide to show you how much hair should fit in the Tulip. Take this to heart because after using it my first time, I have tried to use bigger sections and my hair ended up getting stuck and hurt! If you stick with smaller sections you won’t have one issue!
- It allows for you to control the direction of your curls or choose “alternating” (which is what I did) and it will alternate your curls directions for you.
- It has a safety guard (it looks like a cage around the barrel) so you can’t burn yourself! I held the cage against my head as it was curling and my hair/scalp that was touching the safety guard didn’t even get warm. I LOVE this feature because I am not great with curling irons and I would totally burn myself!
- It has 3 heat settings so you can set it based off your hair type.
- It also has a 3 style setting so you can achieve different looks with curls. The lowest setting will get you a more beachy wave, the middle soft curls (which is what I used), and the longest setting will give you tight curls. I think this is great because you can use it to just run errands with the kids and not look like you spent a lot of time on it (using the lowest setting) or get you some tight luxurious locks for a night out on the town!
- This works well with naturally straight or wavy hair with a thin to medium texture.
Overall, I was really pleased with the ease of use and the outcome of my hair after using the Tulip. This was my hair after running around all day and just before bedtime. Curls still intact!
I actually haven’t tried the MAX 2-Way Rotation Iron because you have to curl your hair around the open barrel and I have been nervous I would burn myself! When I have more time and my 2 crazy boys aren’t running around me, I will try it out and let you know what I think. My mom has one and LOVES it so I am sure it’s da BOMB like the Tulip :) This works well with all hair types and textures and is most transformative for thick and curly hair.
I did try the Ionic Styler Pro as a flat iron on my bangs and it worked great. I used the hot brush to smooth out my entire hair and it gave me a little curl on my ends which gave me some body so my hair wasn’t bone straight. I LOVED this Styler because you can close the flat iron part of it and use it as a round brush that is cool to the touch! This is great for someone like me who is so clumsy and has burnt myself on styling tools in the past! The flat iron works best for all hair lengths and naturally straight, wavy or curly hair. The hot brush works best for medium to short hair with medium to fine texture.
I think InStyler creates some awesome styling products and depending on your hair type you would be happy with any of these. In the package with the Max there is an end to pop on to it with the heat guard – do that to help from burning your fingertips. Tht said – it would also be great to go from dry to straight for you. I use it for that a lot instead of a traditional flat iron. Your hair looks great – so pretty! Great job!
That sounds like a great idea! Totally doing that this weekend!!!Sent from my iPhone
I am in LOVE with the Tulip. Absolutely the EASIEST way to curl your hair and in a hurry too!
I totally agree! Love the type of curls you get with it too! Motherhood Support <a href="http://www.motherhoodsupport.comwww.motherhoodsupport.com<br />FacebookTwitter You TubeInstagramPinterest
