Izzy’s is famous for their AMAZING Reuben sandwiches, delicious pickles and mouth-watering potato pancakes! My favorite thing on the menu is their Goetta Reuben….OMG it is amazing! Perfect combo of sauerkraut, goetta, cheese and Izzy’s famous sauce. Pair it with a potato pancake and pickles and you have the PERFECT meal in my opinion!
Now Izzy’s has taken it to the next level to make their menu even more kid friendly. They revamped their side order options so kids can now choose from mandarin orange slices and applesauce as well as kiddie cakes (special kid sized potato pancakes) as a side dish to accompany their entrée. Grayson ordered the potato pancakes with his cheeseburger and LOVED them. Cody actually stole a few bites since he ordered the applesauce with his. They are miniature so it is the perfect size for little hands! They also get a drink with every kids meal and can choose between apple juice, white milk, chocolate milk, pink lemonade as well as a fountain drink.
I use to be able to split a meal between the boys, but lately it seems they need their own meal so I scour restaurants for Kids Eat Free and really try to stick with these places when I am deciding where to go. It makes a BIG difference when you can get your kids meals for FREE! Kids Under 14 Eat FREE at Izzy’s on Saturdays with the purchase of an adult meal (dine in only). So be sure to add this to your Saturday restaurant list!
Not only do I CRAVE my favorite sandwich and potato cakes, but they lure me in even more with their big bowl of complimentary pickles on the table. Yes, we devoured our entire bowl…. 2 growing boys and a prego mama makes for a dangerous combo when given FREE endless pickles!!
