I am so excited to share with you an amazing Photographer here in Cincy. My friend Pam and myself will be sharing our experiences and some pics with you from our photo shoots! Be sure to read through until the end so you can snag your discount for your session!
Professional photographs are SO important and SO worth the investment. Yes, with the help of digital photography, smart phones and pinterest, we have all become “experts in taking photos.” But really, every now and then it’s important to have a REAL photographer capture those moments with your family.
Last fall I decided to forgo the traditional autumn family photo shoot and wait until the summer to capture some images of the family. I am so grateful I waited because A. I found the most amazing photographer, B. I love the look of “summer” in our photos and C. A+B = amazing fun time!
After seeing Jennifer of Violet Bow Photography shoot some friends in the fall, I knew I wanted to go with her. Five minutes into our session I knew I would be highly recommending her and using her again in the future. She knew what she was doing and I instantly knew she was going to capture some great memories! There is nothing worse than signing up for a professional family shoot, paying the money and then being disappointed at the hour of time you spent together. I hate when photographers don’t recommend ways to stand, to flip your hair, to smile…and most importantly when they don’t try to get your children to smile! Seriously- I have been there! I have countless iPhone pics of my kids not smiling, I certainly don’t need to pay someone for that!
Jennifer was engaging with us and with our children. I could tell my kids liked her by the smiles they gave her in the photos and by the stories they told her. Let’s be real- good photos of kids under 5 years old isn’t easy- but with Jennifer it was. Even after my son fell and skinned his knee, we were still able to wipe away the tears and catch a few more great shots!
Prior to our session, Jennifer asked us important questions to ensure she captured what we wanted, including things I hadn’t even thought about! We had decided on Alms Park for the location and she had already scoped out the area and had a vision of where we would walk around for different looks. Many people can take photos but it takes someone special to see beyond the trees and how to frame a family in those branches. Overall I was beyond thrilled with our pictures. Very soon after our photo shoot, she provided us a disc of high-res photos that we can take to print. This was very important to me as our extended family always wants one of each photo! Pop over to her website and like her Facebook page. She has such a variety of photos- engagements, weddings, maternity photos, new baby photos and more!
Jennifer is running a special for all those who book a session in August and September. Mention Promo Code VIOLET10 for 10% off your session!
Pam was provided a discount to experience Violet Bow Photography with her family. However, all ideas and opinions are her own! You can read more about my Disclosure & Disclaimer Policy here. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Thanks for reading!

That’s a very nice photo you have there, it looks so lovely. Last time I came with my daughter, I missed some old photos of them. I am very impressed with your photos especially photos of your kids, they look so cute.
