It has been so nice to have healthy and organic options when I shop at Kroger and I was SUPER excited to hear of the release of 100 NEW products in their Simple Truth line!!!! There are SO many awesome new products and I have been trying them all out! I appreciate that Kroger is giving options to eat healthy on a budget because the Simple Truth line is priced RIGHT! I have been buying organic for years and as important as I think it is, my biggest complaint is that can be really EXPENSIVE!! Kroger has priced this line for the everyday family so that you can choose the HEALTHIER option and they have not compromised the taste! I wanted to share a quick and easy meal you can make for the fam using the Simple Truth line!
Shredded Chicken Tacos
- Simple Truth Whole Organic Chicken (these are already cooked which is a huge bonus for us crazy busy mamas!!!!). Shred this up and you will have leftovers to use for chicken salad, chicken soup or put on a hoagy with some cheese for a yummy hoagy! You could also use Simple Truth Chicken breasts and just throw them in the crockpot overnight so you can save yourself from standing over the stove!
- Throw in any or all of the following: Simple truth canned black beans, corn, peas, and diced tomatoes. Yup, that’s right mamas, ALL from a can! EASY PEASY BABY!!
- You can add shredded cheese and sour cream to top it off.
- The kids and I love using chips to dip and my hubby likes putting his in a soft tortilla shell.
This is SO quick and easy to make that you can do it less than 10 minutes if your chicken is already cooked. Heat up all the fixins in the skillet and you are ready to eat! A lot of the Simple Truth line is organic and even the products that aren’t you can rest easy knowing the entire line is FREE of 101 ingredients! I am just so happy that Kroger created a brand I can TRUST and best of all it is affordable!!!!! I am not a couponer, but Kroger has made it easy with their Kroger app that you can download to your phone and it goes straight on your Kroger Plus Card so you can save even more money! Love tacos! So anything chicken and easy is a winner in my book. We don't have Kroeger's near us, but glad that there are healthier options out there!
