With the holiday season upon us, and the end of the tax year just around the corner, now is the time of year many American’s plan to give back. According to the 2013 Vitamin Angels Holiday Giving Survey, more than four-in-five (81%) Americans are likely to make a donation during the holidays, with one-out-of-every-two Americans saying they are likely to donate to a cause that benefits children’s health and welfare.
That is why Vitamin Angels, a nonprofit organization which distributes vitamins and minerals to children in need, recently launched their ‘Give Childhood’ campaign- just in time for the holidays. Vitamin Angels’ “Give Childhood” campaign aims to raise awareness for the problem of undernutrition, a problem that is attributed to 45 percent of all childhood deaths worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Now through Dec. 31, 2013, Vitamin Angels is encouraging consumers to make a donation at Vitamin Angels that will help deliver essential vitamins and minerals to at-risk children in need, and in turn “Give Childhood.”
Vitamin supplementation is a simple and cost-effective way to give childhood back to at-risk children. According to Vitamin Angels, 25 cents allows the organization to give one child the vitamin A he or she needs for an entire year .Vitamin Angles has also compiled this infographic to show the impact 25 cents has on our daily lives, compared to the life of a child in need
