We had so much fun at Disney On Ice this year! We just took Cody last year, but decided to make it a family event and brought Grayson along too. He turned 2 in August and he is a busy bee like me so I wasn’t sure if he would sit for 2 hour show, but thought it would be worth it to try!
I have to say this year far surpassed our experience last year. Of course, last year was my first time going so I was amazed and teary eyed when the Mickey Mouse gang came skating onto the ice, BUT, my biggest gripe is that there were a lot of story lines that Cody didn’t know and even I hadn’t seen before. With that being said, it was worth it just for the fact he got to see Mickey and the gang and he still LOVED it regardless! This year, however, they brought it back to the REAL Disney characters. All the classics and it was FANTASTIC!
We saw Mickey and the gang, all the princesses and their princes, Alladin, Beauty and the Beast, Nemo, Lion King, Mulan, and Pinocchio. They had this amazing portion of “It’s a small world” characters and floats that lit up and sparkled and Mickey went up in a hot air balloon. It was SO cute because Cody remembered riding the ride at Disney and he thought that was really cool! They did several different firework portions too that shot out of the Disney castle which was super awesome! It was so animated that Grayson just sat in awe the entire time so we had a great time! It was fun scrolling through FB seeing all of your pics with your kiddos at Disney On Ice. Isn’t it just magical being able to experience these amazing adventures with our kids? I love seeing things from their perspective and I take FULL advantage that I can be a kid all over again!! Then again, I am not sure I ever quite fully qualified as a “grown up”!!! :)
