I have been chipping away at turning my “new” house into US(!) and boy oh boy does it take time!! I think we all want our houses done NOW, but patience is a virtue (at least that is what I tell myself)!!
I wanted to share with you over the next few weeks some of the updates I have done and hopefully you can get some ideas AND share any ideas or tips you have learned from updating your home!
The first room, and easiest in the house, is the boys bathroom. I was so excited to have a bathroom just for the kiddos!! When we first moved in, Cody and I went to Target and I let him pick out the bathroom curtain he liked which set the stage for the room. I didn’t need to change the wall color so I just picked up some accessories from there and threw them in. I had been wanting to add something to the walls, but just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I know I want to get the boys pics in their hooded towels (I mean who doesn’t love their kiddos in a hooded towel?!) and hang a pic of each in the bathroom. That will only take up one wall, so what was I to do with the other??? I had been wanting to get some Uppercase Living decals to spice up my kitchen and then I went a little crazy with them! Anne Marie, my Uppercase Living guru, hooked me up with the CUTEST sign for the boys bathroom!!! I am in LOVE!
This will show you that you can turn anything into something from Uppercase! Anne Marie ordered a toothbrush, grass, the letter I, and the saying “All Boy Blvd” and turned it into this…..
How cute is this???!!! It fits perfectly in the boys bathroom!
What I love SO much about this is that it totally makes a statement!!! I was able to pick out the exact colors that were in their shower curtain to use in the decal. The decals don’t leave ANY marks on the wall so I can take it down as they grow out of it or I can add some little sayings around it! Anne Marie even suggested getting a few of the animals from Uppercase that would match the little animals on the shower curtain! It is funny how much a sticker can change your mood! I am addicted!! Every time I walk past it, I smile!! It just makes me think of my boys :)
A friend of mine did the coolest thing to their kitchen cabinets and I am looking to do that in a few months to all of my bathroom cabinets. I will keep you posted if it turns out :)
What have you done to the bathrooms in your
house to make you just a little happier?!

Very cute and very cool that is how she did it! I would have never guessed! :) I can't wait to have a kids bathroom. I copied what Missy (your step mom) did and put a nice pic up of Ava in the metal bathtub from when she was a baby. I just love those Bathtub Baby pics! And what a perfect place to display it the Bathroom!
Great idea!! Especially for a little girl!Sent from my iPad
