Ever since my friend, Lisa from Organize 365 came over, I have been so inspired to keep things organized. I am a pretty organized person, but after moving my entire family being almost 7 months preggers and then having a newborn, I wasn’t keeping the house as organized as my little OCD mind would like it to be :) Lets’ face it, an organized house is SO much more calm and peaceful for everyone involved! Some of my friends may get on me a little about being so “scheduled”, but I swear, I don’t know how I would live life if we didn’t have a schedule and/or routine that we live by. That is just what works for us! Now that I feel like I have gotten the spark back :) I try to encourage my friends and family to do the same!! One of my BFF’s is moving and wanted me to come over and help her organize her basement. I jumped at the chance! What can I say, it makes me happy to see pics like this!!!
Yes!!! We did that in only a few hours so we didn’t get the entire basement organized, but we did get the play room completed!! The biggest thing I have learned since having kids is that it is really hard to complete a task from start to finish. I recommend having a plan and give yourself a week to complete the task at hand (if it is a big one). This way you can work on it in between taking care of the kids, the house and everything else! We were able to get that area of the basement done in about 3-4 hours between the two of us and we came up with a manageable plan for here to work on to complete the rest of the basement.
So- recruit your friends, help each other out and keep yourself organized!!! If you want some advice from a professional, look Lisa up! She does a FANTASTIC job!!

Yeay! And the basement still looks like that! :) And for the record… I do let the kids play down there! :) Just having your help on this one area let gave me a starting point to finish the rest of the basement on my own. I especially liked how you got Ava involved to help sort her toys. I need to use that tecnique myself to get the kids involved to help clean up instead of putting it all on myself. Thanks for your help!!!!!!
YES!!! Make them do some of the work and before you know it, they will do it themselves! Then mama can sit back and drink a cocktail! lol! Well I can dream right?! Either way, having the family pitch in allows you to get other things done from your never ending to do list!! You are SO welcome!
