I heart the Cincinnati Zoo. Always have, always will! I feel like a kid when I go and even if I have seen the same thing over and over again, it doesn’t get old. Because I have some awesome friends who let me completely mooch off their season pass perks (thank you Jenny and Tiff!), I don’t have to buy a pass myself :) We are able to go quite a bit throughout the summer just by going with friends. My mama actually had some free tickets from work, so I took my brother, sis and the kids and we had a blast!
I know that there are certain times you can see the animals up close, but we don’t usually plan that out. Luckily, this day, we had perfect timing for the giraffe and turtle exhibit. Cody loved it so much that it got me thinking about all the other animal encounters they have throughout the day. We have 4 more free tickets and I think I am going to check out their website and actually map out where all of them are throughout the day and just focus on that. It would be like seeing the zoo in a whole new way!
I also LOOOVVED Kim’s post yesterday about getting the kids really involved in the daily outing with educational print outs from the web!!! This would put a new spin on a place you visit often, really inviting thought and FUN into the trip! For example, you could focus on just aquatic life at the zoo and do printouts for that! Each time focusing on something different!! Gotta love it!
How do you keep “old” places fresh for the kids??

Great pics! I love the turtle one… and yes I found Kim's post yesterday and suggestions very helpful. I have been thinking of doing the dinosaurs with Austin… but heard not too… I think I am going to now!
Yes! I think it is up to us as parents to make the best of the experience for the kids and I love to find new ways to spice things up!Sent from my iPad

Cole loves the Cheetah run. It's a good show to plan for. Oh, and you can feed the camel too.
I just saw that they have the Cheetah run there! I really want to plan a day to do all those things!!Sent from my iPad
Buy a membership! Jeesh! It is the best deal in the city and you can support the Zoo you heart!
Lol! I go so much without one it seems like a waste of money :)Sent from my iPad
