I had a great Mother’s Day weekend. Saturday, we took Cody to one of the many parks near our new house (!) and then to the Peanut Butter and Jam Session featuring the Madcap Puppets!! I HIGHLY recommend going to this because it exposes your kids to different music and instruments and when the puppets make an appearance it’s an extra added bonus! Then MAMA got some alone time at Whole Foods for their spa day! They handed out some awesome samples, we made a body scrub that is to die for (tried it today!) and mixed our own essential oil scent. Kim and Lindsay (blogger of our new sister site Crunchy Savings) also went and we had a blast! All three of us even won gift baskets :) Sunday my boys made me a yummy breakfast and gave me my cards and beautiful Willow Tree Child of My Heart Figurine (I collect Willow Statues!) and then it was cooking time. We were having the fam out to our new house and I had a ton of yummy food to prepare. The three of us cooked it up in our new kitchen and had a blast. We were able to sit out on the patio and enjoy SUNSHINE (finally!) and spend time together and eat some good food…. it doesn’t get much better than that!
Overall, it was a great weekend and so happy to have the nice weather to go along with it! Happy Mother’s Day to you all and keep up all your hard work! Your family (although they may not say it!) appreciates ALL THAT YOU DO! How did you celebrate?! Didn’t have time to see your mom and still need a last minute gift to get her? I found a site (similar to Groupon) and they have limited time offers on the “hottest things to do in your city”. I thought it may have some ideas of something fun and different you can take your mom out to so you can celebrate :)
** They only offer deals on certain cities but I am sure they will be expanding like Groupon and Living Social so if you don’t see your area keep checking back! I LOVE these type of sites because they offer great deals in the area on the cheap!**
