Happy Birthday to me… Happy Birthday to ME!! lol! I cannot believe I am 30!!! WOW!! I look back on my last 30 years and think.. what a life! I sure have had my ups and downs over the years but turning 30 sure does feel pretty good! I remember how hard my early 20’s were because I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with the rest of my life, was I falling in love with the right man, moving into the right apartment and then house… SO many decisions. I wish I would have been able to tell myself- you don’t have to have it ALL FIGURED OUT!! I feel so much more at peace now because I don’t have it all figured out (and may never!!) but I am totally cool with that! My career has changed from professional to SAHM, mommy blogger and mom who does workshops for families etc. WOW! Who knows what the next 1o years will bring (or next 50 at that)! I am really pleased with things right now and settled in my life. I definitely don’t feel like I am old enough to have a kid and one on the way! I am excited to have my family grow and to be moving into a new house (will talk about this soon!) and just to see what is going to happen next.
Things have been so crazy busy for both Steve and I so we decided to go away for a little mini vaca (just me and him) for my bday. Kindof our last alone trip before the baby gets here because we all know it will be back to nursing, no sleep and having someone who needs you 24-7 round the clock!! Steve’s surprise was going to be to take me to Vegas for my 30th BUT when we found out we were preggers it threw that out the window! I really wanted something quiet and secluded and we came up with Gatlinburg. Kim had done some price checking there for a trip she is going to be taking soon so I went with Cabins USA Gatlinburg. They had BY FAR the cheapest rates and seem to have really nice cabins. So I am finishing up packing and we will be on our way in the morning!! Aunt Ra RA will have the Code man and I will miss him dearly but I can’t WAIT to get away!! Just me and my man, relaxation, SLEEP, and shopping! Sounds good to me!!

Jennie – Happy birthday! Have a great time in Gatlinburg. We always stay in a Jackson Mountain Home cabin – mainly because I like their website and they have lots of cabins that allow pets. If you are looking for good dining options – I recommend Cherokee Grill (1002 Parkway) and Alamo Steakhouse (705 E Parkway). Have a great time!
