We recently posted on our FB page that we are looking for some special mamas… of course, we are ALL special :) but we are looking for some specific mamas for this assignment! When Kim and I started this blog we wanted it to be a place where moms could come and feel supported, encouraged, loved and maybe find some interesting information along the way! However, we have come to realize through meeting other moms in our everyday life and through emails we receive that there are some specific motherhood issues that we just don’t have the experience to blog about. Since we can’t possible talk about things we don’t we have to turn to YOU!
We are looking for moms who like to write and express their opinions in a positive way. This may be a good fit for someone who has been wanting to blog, but just hasn’t had the time to start one themselves. SO… what exactly are we looking for??!! We are looking for moms who have expertise (in their everyday life of course) in specialty areas: military moms, moms who have adopted, moms with special needs children, homeschooling moms, single/divorced/ widowed moms etc. If there is something you think you could offer to other moms who would be seeking help, support, information and encouragement in your area of expertise this is your chance! What we hope to do, ultimately, is give each of these specialty mom areas their own blog but still be linked with motherhoodsupport, aka Surviving Motherhood. We want moms who are seeking information in these particular areas a place where they can go for specific information: community groups in their areas, advice, supportive forums, whatever you think that particular group is really looking for. You can really make it your own.
All in all, we want to start creating sister sites of Surviving Motherhood so that we can create an all encompassing online mothering community so that moms from all areas can find what they are looking for!! If you think this is something you would like to be apart of or if you know someone who would fit this criteria please send us an email! Also, if you have any other ideas of how you would like to see Surviving Motherhood branch out or if you would like to be the one to lead that “branch” contact us! We would love to hear from you :)
On a side note: We are starting a local to cincy co-op (organic and natural products) for anyone who is interested. We will be starting with dry goods and go from there. Our cap will be at 24 families for now so if you want more info, send us an email! The pick-up location will be in Loveland, near the Symmes/Montgomery town lines (about 2 minutes from the Symmes Library, if you’re familiar with that location). We are REALLY excited about this new venture! We would love for you to join us!

I am a single mom blogger with a story to tell everyday! I have been raising my awesome kids alone for the past 6 years. It hasn't been easy but certainly exciting! My son has Tourettes & ADD so I deal with that on a daily basis. I live with my 2 kids, 3 cats and my runaway Hound dog, Charlotte in Florida.
Jennie and Kim,
I was at your class on Monday, which I loved by the way! I am interested in learning more about the co-op. I don't know how it works and am a bit intimidated. I am worried that I would committ to too many things and have a pantry full of things I won't use. Can you be selective or do you have to get everything that the group orders? Please fill me in and I'll let you know if I'm interested! Thanks again!!!

Trish- we have sent you an email. Thanks for your interest!
I have never been to your blog up until now, but my friend sent me the link. We are newly adoptive parents and are now a transracial family. Our daughter is also special needs, so we cover most of the areas you are looking for. hahaha We are licensed foster parents but can't really talk about our current foster son. But if anyone has questions about fostering I would love to help them out. If you are interested let me know :)
