Organic Baby University Review & Giveaway!

In the past 50 years, 80,000 new chemicals have been created and introduced to consumers. Less than 10% of these chemicals have been tested for their effects on humans. As you may know, Jennie and I have been trying to make more of an effort to be mindful of what we’re exposing ourselves and our families to both inside and outside of our homes. A big part of being mindful is educating ourselves and making good choices with small day to day changes we’ve learned. As a result, we’ve recently come across a wonderful website that’s been featured in Conceive and Mothering magazines, called Organic Baby University.

Jennifer, CEO of Organic Baby University, started this website after she was only weeks into her pregnancy and  diagnosed with an extremely rare chromosome disorder. There are many aspects of parenthood we don’t have any control over such as genetics and certain environmental possibilities but Jennifer quickly learned that she had no idea how many things were in her personal environment that could negatively impact her during pregnancy and the health of her unborn child. She was surprised at all the chemicals in everyday products had been linked to birth defects, asthma, ADD, cancer, and even potentially autism in legitimate scientific studies. In an effort to have the healthiest baby she could, Jennifer started this website as a place where moms and moms-to-be could get ALL the information you need to have a healthy pregnancy and home life for your family. You don’t need to read lots of articles, like other websites because she’s done all the hard work for you!

Organic Baby University is here to not only teach women about the legitimate risks of these chemicals to their baby and their body, but to show them that it doesn’t have to be complicated, exhausting, overwhelming or even expensive to make these changes to protect their health and the health of their children! The super entertaining cartoon-style videos cover all aspects of all subjects you need to know, unlike most websites that only cover a few such as toys, personal products or plastics. Other websites force you to read tons of articles and search all over their sites looking for the information leaving you frustrated and confused. Almost none give you super simple tricks that you can use in real life. We are different! We have made it simple, comprehensive and easy to understand!

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by it all but OBU makes it easy to make small changes in your life that make a big difference. Another thing we LOVE about this website is that they offer a “Dean’s List of Products” which include green and healthy products for any category  you can think of!! You can also go to the cosmetic database to rate any of your products but OBU has made it even easier for you with their Dean’s List of Products by only listing the products that are a 2 or under – which is a low-no risk rating to you and your family.
