ARBONNE Review

I have been talking about how I am on a mission to find an amazing, all natural skin care line and boy have I found it!! ARBONNE is a naturally based company from their personal care products all the way to their nutritional products. Their formulas are never tested on animals and do not contain any animal derived ingredients or animal by-products (you would be surprised what is really in the things you use every day)! All ARBONNE products are vegan certified! Although the products are a little pricey (you know I am cheap), you really do get what you pay for in this case! Some things are worth the splurge!! Keep reading and you will agree!

As you can see, these products totally ROCK! It is what I have been looking for! A completely chemical free, all natural, botanically based line of products! So are the products any good?  Kim and I had the privilege of sampling some of the products and we weren’t disappointed. We each had our own products to sample:

Jennie’s Personal Review

I LOOOVEEEE these products! Not only do I feel the difference in the quality, but I know I am doing my body and the planet good when I use them them! For the last three weeks I have been trying the hydrating cleanser + freshener & the nurturing day lotion with spf 20 which is from their FC5 line. I noticed the difference in my skin right away. It was softer and more hydrated and it even helped my complexion clear up after just a few days.

I was also able to try the nourishing daily shampoo & nourishing daily conditioner which I LOVED! I try a lot of natural products and I have been through soooo many shampoos and none of them felt like my much beloved Pantene. Well, this by far surpassed that and made my hair feel so soft, conditioned,  tangle & frizz free. I also tried the fortifying hair mask which (after the drying effects this winter has had on my hair and skin) made such a difference! What I also love about these products is that they smell divine, but not because nasty bad-for-you fragrances! It is because they are using plants and essential oils to create their products! I will say that some of their products are lotion based so they don’t foam when you use them. It is my personal preference to have a foamy cleanser so make sure you talk with Kendall about which product is right for you!

Kim’s Personal Review

One of the products that I used was the RE9 Advanced Restorative Day Crème SPF 20 because for me moisturizer is so important especially as I’ve always had problematic skin. When I was in high school I never used a moisturizer because I had such bad acne I thought it would make my skin oily but now I’m old enough to know better I realize that my skin was so bad because it was extremely dry and over producing oil to try to balance out my issues. Having a good skin regime is important because I can tell you from experience this is one of those things in life that you get what you pay for….if you know what to look for in your products! Just because something is expensive doesn’t mean it’s worth it. Do your research on the products and make sure you try it out before you commit! Working with someone like Kendall is always great because she really works with you to make sure you find what you’re looking for and what works best for your skin. I did really like the RE9 anti-aging moisturizer and felt like my skin soaked it up in a heartbeat! It didn’t leave my skin oily at all and I really enjoy the fresh botanical scent! It feels like I’m feeding my skin a tropical smoothie in the morning which is a great way to wake up! :)

My hubby tried out the men’s line and here’s what he had to say:

• The men’s face scrub – very strong orange scent, but loved it overall and a little went a long way! (Would definitely use it again.)
• Shave gel – more of a lotion based gel and didn’t foam but he said he had a closer than usual shave so even though it was very different to use it did a good job. (It’s worth noting – he’s NOT a hairy man! And he only shaves twice a week!)
• Men’s moisturizer – little goes a long way, felt a little oily to him but overall liked it and would use it again.

I’ve also used a few things from their baby line and really liked the baby lotion because it wasn’t oily and didn’t have a fragrance. The herbal diaper rash cream goes on smoothly and dries clear. It has a very subtle clean scent that immediately leaves skin feeling smooth and soft. They also have a baby body oil if your kid(s) have dry skin, especially in the winter.

As you can see ARBONNE is a phenomenal company! They are a global- in the US, Canada, Great Britain & Australia. At the GTC 2011, Arbonne consultants raised over $42,000 for Flood relief in Queensland, Australia (all in one day)!!  They also offer women the opportunity to be in business for themselves (selling the products), but not by themselves.
