While visiting Mammoth Cave Camp Jellystone, we couldn’t pass up visiting Dinosaur World, which is directly across the street from the campground. Both of my boys were so excited to go and they have a lot more to do than I thought, spanning across 20 acres of land to explore!
The biggest attraction are the 150 Life Size Dinosaurs that you can see while there. You start on a nicely paved, mostly tree shaded path which is stroller and wheel chair friendly and is cool on those hot summer months- trust me, we went in August!
They also have a Fossil Dig area where yo can find shark teeth to gastropods, stingray barbs to Mosasaur teeth, and the hardest part being picking your favorite three! The Fossil Dig is a fifteen minute activity and the tickets come FREE with a child’s admission ticket. Once they’ve they have picked their favorite three fossils, they take them to the attendant who will bag them up and identify them for the kiddos.
Also included in your admission is the Dinosaur Museum, a brand new playground, an outdoor cave-like theater and a very large “Boneyard” area where the kids can dig for fake dinosaur bones. Grayson LOVED this part and would have stayed in this all day.
For an additional fee, you can check out their Dino Gem Excavation where you can pan for real minerals, arrowheads, and gems! Everything that you get in your bag, you get to keep! This was one of the favorites of the Dinosaur World Trip!
Overall, we had a fantastic time. If you have Dinosaur Lovers, this is a must visit!
I was given complimentary tickets to visit Dinosaur World with my family so I could share my experience with you. All opinions and thoughts are my own. Thanks for reading!
